Make Your Pup the Star of Your Holiday Card with JCPenney Pet Portraits by Lifetouch

Updated: Mar 4

Hey there, dog parents! Calvin here, reporting for holiday card duty! If you’re obsessed with Christmas like my human, JCPenney Portraits by Lifetouch has just what you need to make this year’s holiday card extra special. They have a pet-specific portrait package that ensures our pups get the spotlight. And trust me—this setup has everything to make those pet holiday portraits perfect! Ready to make some magical memories? Follow my lead!

My Visit to JCPenney Portraits – Glendale Galleria

So, let me tell you about my recent adventure at the Glendale Galleria JCPenney Portraits studio. We went all out with their Santa’s Toy Shop backdrop, which was bursting with holiday cheer—think giant gift props, a teddy bear, and these huge ornaments that made me feel like I was right in Santa’s workshop! I even tried out a classic red backdrop for that timeless holiday portrait vibe. Those photos turned out so good that my human is making one into a canvas to hang in the living room. I’m already practicing my “that’s me!” look when guests walk in.

I may have been a little naughty this year, but I figured a good deed might help me make Santa’s Nice List. So, I’m sharing a special discount code with all my friends out there. Here’s hoping a few good deeds get me back in Santa’s good graces!

Tips for a Paw-some JCPenney Pet Portrait Session for Your Holiday Card

Now, if you’re planning on booking a session (and you should!), here are some of my top tips to make the most of it:

  1. Pick Your Backdrop in Advance: JCPenney Portraits by Lifetouch has a ton of great holiday backdrops, from scenes like Santa’s Toy Shop to solid colors for that classic portrait look. Trust me, knowing what style you’re after will make the session smoother.

  2. Dress for the Occasion: Go all out! I rocked a cozy, matching plaid bandana, while the human wore matching PJs. And for extra holiday magic, we wore our antler ears.

Pro tip: Don’t worry about getting dressed up at home—JCPenney has dressing rooms right in the studio, so you won’t have to brave the mall in your holiday best!

  1. Arrive 10-15 Minutes Early: We pups like to get our bearings, and a new place means new smells! I did a full sniffari around the studio and had to say hi to all the associates (shoutout to my new friend Karla, our awesome photographer!). She was sweet, gave the best head scratches, and really made me feel at ease.
